Our day of adventure in Alexandria begins with a delicious breakfast served in the comfort of your hotel room, followed by a comfortable ride in our air-conditioned vehicle to explore the city's awe-inspiring sites that were constructed during the reign of Alexander the Great.
We'll start our tour with a visit to the modern Alexandria Library, which was officially opened on October 16, 2002. The library boasts an impressive capacity of eight million books, with the main reading room spanning across eleven levels and the catacombs located deep beneath the building. You'll also get a chance to check out the nearby Roman Amphitheatre, which is one of the city's most iconic landmarks.
Next, we'll head to the Alexandria National Museum, which is home to an impressive collection of artifacts that tell the fascinating story of Alexandria. Recent discoveries from the sunken part of the city have been added to the museum's exhibits, making the collection even more intriguing.
Our next stop is the Citadel of Qaitbay, which is considered one of the most historically significant sites in the Mediterranean region. Originally constructed by the Mameluke Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaitbay in 1480 AD, this fortress has undergone several renovations over the years and now stands as an important landmark on the coastline.
After a delectable lunch at a local restaurant in AL-Morsi Abu EL-Abbas, we'll wrap up our tour and head back to your hotel, the Hilton Alexandria, where you can relax and unwind after a fulfilling day of sightseeing.
